Legal notice and privacy
Who publishes this, where it is hosted, what happens to the data you send. Short, because there is not much of it.
Who publishes this site
An individual, not a company. There is no business entity behind this guide, no advertising revenue, and nothing for sale.
The publisher is not named. The reason is operational rather than legal: the cafés on this site are visited anonymously, and a published name would end that. The full explanation is on the about page.
The publisher is reachable. The contact form is the only channel, and messages are read.
Hosting
This site is hosted by Hostinger. It is a static site: the pages are built in advance and served as files, with no database and no server-side processing.
What the scores are
Every score published here is an opinion, formed by applying a scale that is published in full — the five criteria, the thresholds, and what the scale deliberately refuses to measure.
Factual statements are something else. Prices, addresses, opening hours and visit dates are recorded on site and checked. If any factual detail is wrong, it will be corrected — report it through the contact form.
Scores are not withdrawn on request. A café that disagrees is welcome to say so, and the scorecard will keep saying what was measured and why.
No advertising, no sponsorship
No café pays to appear, no café pays to rank higher, and no business relationship exists with any establishment listed here.
There is no advertising on this site, no affiliate link, and no sponsored content. Every coffee tasted was paid for out of pocket.
The contact form
The form collects a name, an email address, a subject chosen from a short list, and a message. It also sends three technical fields that carry no personal data: the form's access key, the address of the confirmation page, and an anti-spam field that visitors never see.
These are sent through Web3Forms, an external service. Web3Forms forwards the message by email. How it handles data is described in its own privacy policy. The message arrives in a mailbox and stays there until it is dealt with.
What is not done with it: it is not sold, not shared, not added to a mailing list, and not used to send anything back other than a reply.
To have a message deleted, ask through the form.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies.
There is no analytics tool, no tracking pixel, no advertising script, and no social media widget. Nothing on these pages follows a visitor from one site to another.
Two external services are loaded on specific pages. The map on the city pages loads tiles from OpenStreetMap, which serves images and sets no cookie. The contact form posts to Web3Forms only when the form is submitted.
Visitor numbers are read through Google Search Console, which reports how the site appears in search results. It does not place anything on a visitor's device.
Photographs and text
Every photograph on this site was taken on site, by the publisher. Illustrations, such as the Americano One poster, are artwork, not photographs. None is supplied by an establishment, and none comes from a stock library.
The text and the photographs belong to the publisher. Reuse requires permission — ask through the contact form.
Changes
This page describes what the site does today. If that changes — a new analytics tool, a different host, a different form provider — this page changes with it, and the date below says when.
